Jesperi Kotkaniemioffering his thoughts on what hurt the Canes after having an early 2-0 lead...
"We took too many penalties. That's hurting us right now. Five-on-five we're doing a really good job and I thought we started good tonight, but we just couldn't keep that up."
Jordan Martinookexpressing similar thoughts...
"That power play has been too good for a long time and you don't want to give them chance after chance. We had our chances in the third to get ahead, I had the two-on-one with Jordo, we had the two-on-one with Fishy and Neci. We had our chances; it wasn't like we weren't getting anything. You give them those chances and it's a law of averages. We have to know when to not take penalties and try to play at five-on-five."
Rod Brind'Amourproviding his assessment on the contest...
"We were in the penalty box [the whole time]. What do you want me to say? That's it. We can't take penalties at the end, especially when it is four-on-three and then five-on-three. We did a hell of a job working our butts off tonight. We killed most of the penalties. They got a weird one there to tie it up, it's a flip of the coin I guess... We had a mistake there with a change [in overtime] and that's a tough one."
