The Carolina Hurricanes received a "good sign" on the injury front on Wednesday, head coach Rod Brind'Amour said.
Vincent Trocheck and Martin Necas returned to practice on Wednesday, and both will travel with the team to Dallas.

Trocheck was sidelined with a lower-body injury for the second half of the back-to-back in Columbus, and the Canes are "hopeful" to get Trocheck back in the lineup for Thursday. Trocheck skated on a line with Nino Niederreiter and Jordan Martinook in Wednesday's practice.
Necas has missed the last two games with an upper-body injury he sustained in Chicago on Feb. 4. Necas skated in a yellow, no-contact sweater in Wednesday's practice.
"Necas might be another day, but at least we're getting closer with both of those guys," Brind'Amour said.
A series of six straight on the road for the Canes ends with a two-game set in Dallas on Thursday and Saturday.
