Rod Brind'Amouron the team not finishing on their chances, but also giving New York's netminder praise for his efforts once again...
"What're you going to do? You have to keep getting the chances. I'm happy that we're creating offense. [Igor Shesterkin] played well. You have to give him a ton of credit. But the [poor] start is what did it to us."
Sebastian Ahowhen asked if facing Shesterkin and the accolades that come with him are setting into the minds of the Hurricanes...
"No. To be honest, I don't really pay attention to who is in net and think of how I can create more chances against them. I look at it more like how can we create the best chances? Sometimes the best ones are rebounds, quick one-timers. It's not always going to be bar down on the rush. You just have to find ways to put the puck in the back of the net."
Jordan Staalproviding his thoughts on what the Canes need to do to start scoring more goals...
"More traffic, more shots, more second chances. Give them credit, they obviously do a good job of staying in shooting lanes and boxing guys out in front. We have to get grittier and get harder around the net. We have to get to those tough areas if we're going to put the puck in the back of the net."
